Animal Welfare Statement

The Iraqi Journal of Industrial Research (IJOIR) is dedicated to maintaining the highest ethical standards in the care and use of animals in scientific research. All research involving animals must strictly comply with national regulations and align with internationally recognized ethical guidelines, such as those established by the National Committee for Research Ethics in Science and Technology (NENT), accessible through the following link:

National Committee for Research Ethics in Science and Technology

Researchers are required to minimize any discomfort, pain, and distress experienced by animals, ensuring the use of appropriate sedation, analgesia, and humane euthanasia when necessary. Adequate housing, nutrition, and veterinary care must be provided to all animals used in research, promoting their well-being throughout the experimental process.

Prior to the commencement of any study involving animals, researchers must obtain approval from an institutional ethics committee. The submitted protocols must outline all procedures involving animals and demonstrate that the proposed research adheres to established ethical guidelines.

Authors are required to submit the Animal Welfare Compliance Form provided by our journal, which is issued by our Animal Experimentation Licensing Board (AELB), along with their manuscript. In addition, an ethical statement must be included as the first paragraph in the methodology section of the manuscript.
