Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • On behalf of all coauthors, I certify that all of the materials in this manuscript have no financial interest or non-financial interest with any organization, person, or any entity.

Author Guidelines

Submission Instructions

The Iraqi Journal of Industrial Research accepts Papers in English language only. Your article should be organized according to the order bellow. Additional subtitles are not preferred and should be avoided as much as possible except for special cases. In theoretical papers, Experimental part can be replaced by theoretical part. Maximum pages allowed for your manuscript are 20 pages. Fonts and formatting are as follows:

  • Title: Times New Roman, bold, justified, regular, size 17
  • Authors Names: Times New Roman, bold, justified, regular, size 11
  • Bulk (Except Abstract and keywords): Times New Roman, justified, regular, size 11
  • Margins: 1.5cm top, and 2cm bottom, left, and right
  • Abstract and keywords: split into two–column with “left” setting and “line between”. The right side column width is 5.2cm, while the left side column width is 11.12cm. Font is Times New Roman, justified, regular, size 11. Margines of both columns are 2cm all sides.
  • Space: Spacing between lines in the whole manuscript is single with adding space after paragraphs from “Add Space After Paragraph” icon.

  1. Manuscript Submission

Submission of your manuscript implies that the work described has not been published previously (except for academic dissertation or thesis of the same author), and has not submitted simultaneously in another periodical. Authors have to sign an ethics declaration form upon submission. This form is available in our website: http://www.ijoir.gov.iq

Our journal is utilizing the global plagiarism checker “Turnitin” to screen any unoriginal content. The accepted limit is 20%. However, even with plagiarism percentage less than 20%, our editors will look at that content carefully to decide whether or not, the manuscript can be passed or not. Plagiarism checking service is offered for free to researchers who applied to publish in our journal.

  1. Submission Process

Submissions should be carried out through our website from “Make a Submission” icon. You are required to submit two files: (i) The manuscript in Microsoft Word format that is laid out according to our Template; and (ii) Signed Declaration Form in JPG or PDF format.   1. Reference Format

Please use IEEE style for your references. We highly recommend using reference management softwares (such as: Mendeley, EndNote, RefWorks) to avoid the mistakes. Here are some examples for IEEE style:

Review Process

Once a manuscript passes the initial checks (plagiarism check and associate editor primary check), it will be assigned to at least two independent experts for peer-review. A single-blind review is applied, where authors' identities are known to reviewers. Peer review comments are confidential and will only be discussed with authors.

Reviewers may also include Editorial Board Members of the journal. Reviewers should not have published with any of the co-authors during the past five years and should not currently work or collaborate with any of the institutions of the co-authors of the submitted manuscript.
